EL SIGNO LINGUÍSTICO • Lineal • Arbitrario • Mutable e inmutable Articulado • Los signos van unos tras otros (cadena hablada) • Relación entre significado y significante es convencional. • No cambia por iniciativa de determinado hablante, pero sí evoluciona a través del tiempo. • Puede descomponerse en partes más pequeñas: sílabas, fonemas.
