  3. Arriving at Manz • Don’t forget to sign in and get a badge at the office. • Put out the Media Center Volunteer name display as well.

  4. 3 Main Tasks • Checking in books • Checking books out to students • Shelving books

  5. Checking In Books • Always check back on screen • Close any pop-up windows before scanning the next book

  6. Checking Out Books • Always click All Items Out • Can check out 4 books (1 AV item) • Textbooks don’t count • If overdue, CKO, then Override

  7. Shelving Books • 5 main collections • Easy Fiction • 1st Chapter Books • Fiction • Easy Nonfiction • Nonfiction

  8. Shelving Books: Sort Books to Carts • Use the spine labels • Read from the top down This line helps tells what collection it’s from F Ack This line tells what shelf it is on in the collection

  9. Heading to the Shelves • It helps to put in order on the cart first

  10. Special Collections • We have lots. • Biographies • Student AV vs. Teacher Materials • Parenting • Read Alongs • Professional • Magazines • Oversize • If you aren’t sure where it goes, ask.
