    10. Programme Subcamp Life Module Activities Fun, Global Development, Challenging, Culture, Interactive, Environment, Educational ,Peace...     11. What is Simply Scouting? Simply Scouting NOT a back to basics camp Covers three main themes Meetings Formal and informal, encouraging friendship Nature Surrounded by trees and woodland Solidarity Promote the unity of Scouts throughout the world

    13. How much? No more than £1800 – until Travel Arrangements etc finalised we can’t be sure of the exact final figure but this is the maximum The Unit will support where and if it can and there are various grants available to young people HOWEVER the responsibility for the costs and for raising the money in whatever way is the participants.     14. What and when do I pay?     17. What do I do next? Applications are due in by 13 November 2009 Paper copies are here tonight for you to take away, please make sure you pick one up! You will be notified by letter in week commencing 16 November whether you have been successful and are through to the selection 2 Selection days on either 21 November 2009 22 November 2009 Offers out in week commencing 30 November 2009  We require acceptance of places by 13 December 2009 It’s a quick turn around time, between Application and Selection, so we suggest you keep both dates free – we can’t tell you now which dates will be available Please remember that we only have 36 places and we are expecting a high level of applications. We know this is going to be a very difficult job to select the team, but we have to make the decisions and we are sorry if you aren’t successful. Commitment Above all, however, we are looking for commitment;   Commitment to the training Commitment to the fellow members of the unit Commitment to have a fantastic time   We need you to be committed to learning and experiencing the Jamboree Its not about what you have now, your Scouting Skills etc – its about committing to improving them and learning We want to know that you want to be part of this and you understand that it is a great opportunity, not just a holiday With the high response rate we expect, it is likely that we will have a reserve list of people ready to take your place if you are not committedWe need you to be committed to learning and experiencing the Jamboree Its not about what you have now, your Scouting Skills etc – its about committing to improving them and learning We want to know that you want to be part of this and you understand that it is a great opportunity, not just a holiday With the high response rate we expect, it is likely that we will have a reserve list of people ready to take your place if you are not committed
