TDA/TDE MEC Features

The NCP500/1000 does not have MEC Card Capacity, but the NCP500/1000 has some of MEC features.



VoIP Channel Card (DSP)

This role of this card is to provide the necessary CODEC conversion when calling over IP via TDM.

i.e. The DSP allows a TDM call (DLC, LCOT, BRI etc) to be routed over IP.

It is the DSP which converts TDM <-> IP(G711, G729 etc)

If you want to use the VoIP features, you need to install DSP4, DSP16 or DSP64.
