Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate, your senior needs credit for:

4 Language Arts

4 Mathematics

4 Sciences

3 Social Studies

.5 Health/.5 P.E.

3 CTAE and/or Art and/or Foreign Language

2 additional electives

Total of 23 credits

Must pass the GA High School Writing Test as well as EOCT or GHSGT in Engl, Math, Science and Social Studies

Graduation vs college admissions

Graduation vs. College Admissions

  • Keep in mind that you may have the appropriate credits to graduate from Osborne High, but you must check with your college to be sure that you are taking the classes necessary to be competitive for admission.

  • Example: Most 4 year colleges require GPS Pre-Calculus or higher (AP Statistics, AP Calc) during your senior year in order to be accepted. Also, 4 year college require TWO foreign languages (Spanish I & II, French I & II)

    • Recommendations (if needed)

Senior dues 50

Senior Dues--$50

Required by all students who wish to participate in senior week activities and graduation activities

  • Covers:

    • Senior shirt (student designed, contains all senior names on the back)

    • Senior Week activities

    • Senior Breakfast

    • Senior Medallions

    • Graduation related expenses

  • Senior dues can be paid before or after school to Ms. Yeomans in room 212

  • Cash/Check/Money Order accepted

  • Graduation!

  • Counselors will be meeting with all seniors in small groups this semester to complete a “Senior Application for Graduation.” Seniors will have the opportunity to ask questions at that time.
