Mrs. Stringer’s Background • Born and Raised in Miami, FL • B.B.A. in Finance from Mercer University • EDS – 15 years • Transitioned to Education (2007) • Certified in ESE, Math 5-9, ESOL • Master’s in Education Leadership (in process) • Pat-on-the-Back PTA Recipient (2011) • My Daughter, Emily, is a Falcon! (6th grade) • I enjoy traveling, sports, dancing, running and biking

  6. Grades: Manage in Pinnacle • Grades • Homework (every night) 10% • Classwork (complete in class) 20% • Quizzes 30% • Tests 40% Total: 100% • ‘Z’: Work that may be made up otherwise, a ‘0’ • ‘0’: Work that earned a ‘zero’

How to Help Your Child Be Successful • HW is essential • Review their notes and rewrite them if needed • Use the online personal tutors (BEEP/Textbook) • FCAT Explorer is a great review • Set goals to achieve throughout the year specifically related to mathematics with rewards • Continuous test them on their multiplication tables (anywhere and everywhere) • Ask for help (Outstanding Peer Counselor Program) • Open communication
