  3. Simple Present Exemplos: You play soccer. Ronaldinho plays soccer. I don’t play soccer. She doesn’tplay soccer. Do you play soccer? Does she play soccer?

  4. Simple Present - Usos a. Verdades universais: Water freezes at 0° C. b. Hábitos, rotina, ações que acontecem com regularidade: It usuallyrains a lot in the summer. I oftengoto the movies.

  5. Simple Present - Usos c. Situações permanentes: My sister works in a large store. (Está implícito que não é um trabalho temporário.) d. Com verbos que indicam processo mental, sentimentos, sentidos, propriedade: I think you are right. Now I remember what you said. I hate garlic. I own/have that apartment.

  6. Present Continuous/Progressive Exemplos: He isn’tdoinghis homework. I am not doing my homework. Is he doing his homework? And you, are you doing yours?

  7. Present Continuous/Progressive • Usos: • Para expressar ações que estão acontecendo no momento que se fala: • She is studying for the test. • She is sitting on the stairs.

Present Continuous/Progressive Usos: b.Com ações que estão ocorrendo, mas são temporárias ou momentâneas (não é necessário que a ação esteja ocorrendo no momento da fala): Peter is not here, he is working in Rio this month.   9. Present Perfect Exemplos: I’ve (have) lived here for 5 years. She hasn’t studied for the last test. Has he doneall his homework? Have you ever beento Africa?

  10. Present Perfect Usos: a. Ações que começaram no passado e continuam até o presente: He has been a professoinal soccer player for several years. How longhave you studied at Pueri Domus? She has written three books so far. (*so far = até agora)

  11. Present Perfect Usos: b. Ações que aconteceram no passado que têm ligação, importância ou resultados no presente: JK Rowling has earned a lot of money since she wrote the first Harry Potter book. I have just found a wallet on the street.

  12. Present Perfect Usos: c. Fatos que ocorreram no passado em tempo não determinado: I’ve bought my English book. Have you passed the exam? She haswon all the competitions!
