The Wireless Issue in California • Over 1.7M 9-1-1 calls per month. • Over 1.1M are wireless. • 66% of all 9-1-1 calls are wireless. • CHP receives 70% of wireless calls or 770K per month. • CHP has 175 call-taking positions as compared to 1764 PSAP call taking positions. • Single biggest issue for the State 9-1-1 Office!!
