  1. GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION - 2013 On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, a special assembly was conducted at Vivekanand International School, I.P. Extn., Delhi . The programme commenced with a prayer that paid homage to our motherland. Students had participated in various programmes such as dance, skit, speech and poem recitation. A melodious rendition of RAGHUPATI RAGHAV set the spot on ambience for the day. Scripture imbused with patriotic fervour, honesty, non-violence, simplicity and forgiveness were a few of the values which were show cased through a skit staged by the students. The students of Vivekanand International School with patriotism in their hearts celebrated the day dressing up as Gandhi ji and singing patriotic songs. The Chairman Sir, addressed the gathering and inspired the students to adopt the path of truth and non-violence.

  2. OUTDOOR FUN - 2013 Outdoor activities are of paramount importance for a child’s comprehensive, exhaustive and holistic development. To ensure the children get the best of everything, outdoor fun filled activities were organised in the school in which the children participated with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. The playground in the school premises is housed with a range of outdoor amusement equipments, kids fun games, swings etc. The attractive and vibrant colour is an added feature to these highly sophisticated equipments made out of eco-friendly material.

  3. Educational Trip - 2013 The students of Vivekanand International School, I.P. Extn.,Delhi from Classes 3rdto 8th visited Aeroplanet, Dwarka for a fun filled aircraft experience. In this visit students experienced the mock practice of Air services. Holding their boarding passes in hand, the students were thrilled to board a real Airbus A 300 and learnt how to use the seat belt, oxygen mask and life jacket through a flight safety demo. The emergency exit slide from Airbus A 300 and the air turbulence experience in the CRJ Jet Aircraft were a unique experience. A disaster management drill with safety measures was conducted in the cargo section of the plane, whereafter faux fire & smoke were created, the emergency lights were switched on and the children crawled through the aisle and exited the plane through another emergency slide. Excitement levels were very high when they visited the cockpit section of the plane where they saw various panels and buttons, and how the pilot exits in case of an emergency. Music and dance, trampoline jumping, rope trolley rides and balancing beam were other entertaining activities enjoyed by the children. Light snacks were served to all the students. The trip was educational as well as a fun experience and was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

  4. ALL INDIA CAMLIN COLOUR CONTEST-2013 A special day was put aside for the children to give the students an opportunity to show case their creative and imaginative skills. Camlin colour contest gave these budding artist a platform to express their skills through the medium of colours on the given topic.

  5. CREATIVITY AT ITS BEST - 2013 “Creativity is what defines our lives, our personalities and our very existence.”The children have plethora of inherent talent. Keeping this objective in mind Vivekanand International School, I.P.Extn.,Delhi held creativity week for its students in the month of October, 2013. It was especially useful as it aimed to provide relaxation to the mind the students after drabness of Summative Assessment-1. It focused to direct the surplus stores of energy of students in some useful channels of refined tastes. Several activities were planned and organized during this period. Quizzes, Spellethons, Declamations etc. sparked the mental level. Best out of waste, Rangoli making, Poster designing helped the budding artists to show case the arena of their creative genius. Sports activities acquainted the students with team spirit and motivated them to learn from their failures. These activities facilitated the students to display their instinctive greatness. It also helped to add charm, colour and zest to the life of students. Chairman Sir, Mr. R.L. Ahuja appreciated the students. He said, “The students of my school are actually the flowers of my garden. These collectively form Vivekanand International garden. I am sure that these students will spread the fragrance of their talents, love and warmth in the world”. The week culminated with the distribution of merit certificates to the winners of respective categories.
