Makerere/UVRI Infection and Immunity Research Training Programme Call for Abstracts Science Symposium Uganda Virus Research Institute Thursday, 7th November 2013 Confirmed Keynote Speakers Massimo Palmarini– University of Glasgow UK – arboviruses Doreen Cantrell – University of Dundee , UK – T cell metabolism Richard Hayes – London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine – HIV treatment for prevention Abstracts from young scientists are invited in all branches of Infection and Immunity research. A prize of 300,000 Ush will be offered for the best oral presentation, with additional prizes for runners-up, and for the best poster presentation Deadline for submission is 20th October 2013 Eligibility criteria You should be conducting research in any area of clinical or veterinary science, laboratory based research, or public health or social science related to infectious disease and their broad effects Staff of a research programme, Masters and PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers are particularly encouraged to apply The work presented should be your own, and should be completed work, of a quality suitable for publication For more information, and to request an application form, please e-mail Moses Kizza (moses.kizza@mrcuganda.org; mkizza@uvri.go.ug) or visit our website: www.muii.org.ug
