  32. Frequently asked questions Q: Why is vaya hosting a tet festival separately instead of cooperating with other existing festivals? A1:because vaya wants to empower vietnamese youths to take the leadership rol since we are the future, and many people look to us to carry on the vietnamese heritage and tradition. A2:even though the youth is leading a tet festival, we get support from both youth and non-youth organizations;therefore, the vaya festival is really a community unifying event.

  33. FAQ Q: how does the vaya tet festival contribute to the diversity of san diego. A: we feature performances of other ethnic organizations;thereby, improving inter-ethnic relations. Q: What does VAYA do with the profit made from the festival? A: VAYA is a non-profit organization. Profit made from the Tet Festival will go directly back to the community in the forms of grants for other community developmental programs.
