Howtofurthercooperate on … demographicchange and knowledgedevelopment Macroregionalstrategies: Deemed as not necessary Microregional strategies should be elaborated as complementary policy documents contributing to fulfilment of the objectives of the macroregional strategies Funding: Obligatory development of the financially sustainable management of the outputs/results already during project implementation is recommended Pre-funding schemes and lump sums should be introduced Higher limit for external expertise should be enabled Complementaryfunding options to SF should be identified (e.g. private investors) Transfer of results: Activities related to transfer of results should form a mandatory part of the work plan “Pilot actions” should be better defined and their transferability obligatory New topics: Stronger thematic focus should be devoted to shrinking regions and to initiation of activities fostering their growth and development Actions towards retaining „brains“ in the regions should be intensified; however, measures supporting „brain circulation“ within the targeted regions (mobility of the labour force) are also considered as vital Mainstreaming: Sensitisingof relevant stakeholders via direct contacts and awareness raising events will boost the mainstreaming potential of the results DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGE AND KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT
