  3. 1 Road Map 3 1. Road Map Purpose: Organize the UNDAF Process • Outline the UNDAF preparationprocess • Ensure full alignment to national planning cycle • Ensure a full consultative process throughout to ensure national ownership • Identify support needed from regional offices and HQs

Road Map What’s new and important about the Road Map? • No UN-prescribed calendar months, to closely align UNDAF with the national processes • No UN-prescribed mechanisms (example, no Joint Strategy Meeting) Remember: Do not underestimate the time needed for the common programming process.

(Part I) • How UNDAF will be aligned with national development cycle • Logical series of steps, milestones, and timeline • Indicate dates for workshops (e.g. HRBA-RBM, SPR) • Indicative dates for PSG review of draft documents • Clear accountabilities and leadership for each activity • Estimate budget • Identify training & capacity needs

Road Map • How have stakeholders been included and how will they be involved in UNDAF process? • Government – including line ministries • Social partners – including workers and employers organizations • Other development partners • Civil society & NGOs • Non-Resident Agencies
