The • Renaissance, literally “rebirth” ;was the period that followed (brought Europe out of) the Middle Ages. • Marked a change in people’s values, beliefs and behavior • Renewal of the human spirit of curiosity and creativity •  During the Renaissance there was a rebirth of interest in ancient Greece and Rome •  its influence was felt in literature, philosophy, art, music, politics, science, religion, and other aspects of intellectual inquiry.
