  3. Amps in the early days • It was first introduced in the 1930’s • Was not originally made for electronic instruments • Was popularized for ‘Hawaiian’ music

  4. Manufacturers • Behringer • Peavey • Marshall • Harmony

  5. Advancements in Amps • First used with Bass guitars and keyboards. • Other instruments produce wider frequency. • Also need a Woofer and Sub-Woofer.

  6. Different types of Amps • Acoustic Amplifiers • Bass Amplifiers • Hard-rock Amplifiers

  7. On the Job • Guitars in Jazz band. • Electric Upright basses. • Can also be used for keyboards.
