Agenda for January 24, 2012 • Warm Up: Ellipsis to indicate omission • In the Literature Book and your journal: • Read and complete pages 894-895. “Graphic Aids,” “Adjust Reading Rate,” “Vocabulary in Context,” and “Background.” • Read and complete the reading prompts, pages 897-901, “Over the Top.” • Answer questions 3,4,5,7 (unless you are specifically assigned 1,2,3,7) on page 902 and all questions on page 903. • QUIZ AND WORD MAPS DUE TOMORROW!

  2. Warm Up • Imagine that you want to make a point about the number of soldiers who fought at Shiloh. Choose a portion of the following quotation to make your point and leave out irrelevant details.
