Warning device spacing shall be as follows: • On Taper - Maximum spacing between cones or tubular markers shall be 25’. 2009 Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) states: • For traffic incidents, particularly those of an emergency nature, temporary traffic control (TTC) devices on hand may be used for the initial response as long as they do not themselves create unnecessary additional hazards.
