  2. Problem Statement • Design a Device which allows for: • Isocentric motion of neck and spine • MRI and CT compatible material • Extension/flexion of ±60° • Left/right rotation ±40° • Reproducibility

  3. Background • Head and Spinal anatomy • Neural Foramen • Cervical Vertebral motion segments • Disorders • Chiari I malformation • Diagnostic testing tools • CT scanners • MR Imaging

  4. Motivation • Isocentric Motion of neck and spine • Nerve root compression in neural foramen • Velocity of Central Spinal Fluid(CSF) in patients with Chiari I malformation • Stability of cervical vertebral motion
