In this session we will: • Provide a brief overview of the Title I & Title IIA grant application • Highlight changes to the FY15 workbook • Address common challenges • Discuss the basic submission process & timeline • Answer questions you have about the application Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

What has not changed • Allocation/funding rules • Title I & Title IIA combined in one application • Basic structure (same worksheets) • Cover sheet • Non-public school worksheet (TI & TIIA) • Title IIA forms (needs assessment and budget) • Title I narrative • Title I district reservation worksheet • Title I school funding worksheet • Title I budget Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

Suggested order of completion • Begin with narrative Three questions for all districts, two more for L2-5 districts, two more for L3-5 districts • Describe reservations, including additional supports for low performing schools • Allocate Title I funds to schools • Complete budget • Complete combined non-public school worksheet for Title I & Title IIA Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

How do I submit the application? • Complete and submit Title IIA & Title I grants at the same time • Enter contact information for both programs • Upload combined budget workbook to Title I & Title IIA Grants drop box by July 31 for September 1 start date • ‘Title I Grant Application & Amendments’ or ‘Title IIA Grant Application & Amendments’ security role necessary • FY15 application deadline: October 31, 2014 Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
