  1. September 2013 – January 2014 Los Angeles New York The Variety Screening Series is an exclusive run of invite-only screenings, held in conjunction with the motion picture award season. Each screening includes an award contending film followed by a Q&A with the film’s top talent and filmmakers. Invited guests include various industry voting guilds including the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS), Director’s Guild (DGA), Writer’s Guild (WGA), Screen Actors Guild (SAG), as well as guests from Variety’s VIP industry list. Average attendance per screen is 300. Previous Q&A participants include: Ben Affleck, Edward Norton, Robert De Niro, Ron Howard, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, Toby Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sean Penn, Kate Winslet, and many more.
