  2. Module Assessment • 12 credit module at Level 6 • You are strongly advised to contact the module leader when you decide to do this module. • As part of this module syllabus, it is compulsory that you are required to attend workshops at the LJMU Careers Centre in Kingsway House.

  3. Module Aims • To critically examine the student's own employability. • To develop and execute a personal development plan to address specific World of Work skills that are deemed to improve employability.

  4. Module Assessment cont... • Assessment is 100% coursework. • Assessment will be spread out to two semesters. • There are 6 hours formal lecture delivered by the module leader. • 30 hours attendance to workshops run by LJMU Careers Centre is compulsory for all students who are doing this module.

  5. Personal Development Planning • This module will prepare students for the workplace by engaging them in personal development planning and will address key employability skills deemed essential by industry. • Students will follow self-directed study programme tailored to their individual needs.

  6. Assessment Weighting • Assessment 1 (25%): A Personal Development Plan that will support your development of employability skills. • Assessment 2 (75%): Reflective Report: After attending the workshops at the LJMU Careers Centre, you will be required to write a reflective report.

  7. Skills • Subject-related specialist skills • These depend on your degree subject • Graduate skills • Personal skills that are independent of degree subject but which can be developed during the course • World of Work skills • More general skills gained from good work experience
