  5. Farmer Mark Farmer Mark told us how to pick delicious apples. You twist the apple toward the sky. Nate Sandy

  6. Cages The cage helps the tree so the mice do not eat it. The cage helps the tree so the coyotes do not eat it. Simon

  7. Eye spy an Eye! The eye is at the bottom of the apple. The eye is where the flower bloomed before the apple started to grow. Martha

  8. Kinds Of Apples Farmer Mark has different kinds of apples. Empire is one type of apple. Lily

  9. Kinds Of Apples Another kind of apple at the orchard was red gravenstein. The apples were delicious! Lily

  10. Signs of Fall On the way to the apple orchard, we saw many signs of fall. We saw trees with colored leaves, and we saw trees with no leaves. Seth Seth

  11. Apple Safety When we finished eating our apples, Farmer Mark told us to throw the apple under the tree so people would not slip on them. Maryn Maryn

  12. Yummy Apples! We got to eat the apples at the orchard. They were so good! Ashley

  13. Green Sleeves One kind of apple at the orchard was green sleeves. We got to take some green sleeve apples home. Oliver

  14. Apples and Teeth Some people had loose teeth. Some students lost a tooth when they were eating their apple. I am lucky my tooth did not fall out. Lucy

  15. Brr! Brr! One tree did not grow well this year because it was too cold in the spring and the flowers died. The tree will have apples next year. Rowan Keeley

  16. Be Safe! Be ready! The best foot gear that you can wear to the apple orchard is rubber boots because the grass could be wet. Tatianna

  17. Getting Ready To Leave We are walking back to the bus. Farmer Mark is going to show us his garden before we leave. Alexander Violet

  18. Pumpkins In the fall, we harvest pumpkins. Pumpkins grow on a vine. Pumpkins have large leaves that catch the rain. The water goes down a tube to give water to the pumpkin. Jack

  19. Autumn A sunflower is a sign of fall. The sunflower is yellow. It has brown seeds. It’s tall. Dru

  20. Pumpkin Decorating! Farmer Mark grew pumpkins. Farmer Mark carved some of the pumpkins. He had a Superman pumpkin, a Boo pumpkin and a Spiderman pumpkin. Ava

  21. Conclusion Our trip to Framer Mark’s apple orchard was a lot of fun. We are thankful that Farmer Mark taught us about apples. It was a great field trip. We learned lots and we had fun doing it. We had an apple of a time!
