Objectives • Studying the scalability and adaptability potential of the hardware and the software of the PSS module, the Control System and the Data Acquisition system for other markets and different types of environment. Partners’ Role • CERN will provide the environmental and usability requirements for operational and emergency use and the infrastructure required for the Control System (CS) and Data Acquisition (DAQ). • PRI will study and develop the PSS system HW and SW modularity, integration, interfaces optimization and adaptability to new infrastructure supports and new markets. • NTUA will design and modify the CS and DAQ to meet the AR technology requirements and study scalability and adaptability for various environments and markets. Fellows ESR5 – NTUA - Control System (M5) The Fellow will study and support the complete development of a rugged, scalable and adaptable control system and help build a prototype of the CS and DAQ for testing in the ATLAS environment. ESR6 – PRI (DUTH) - PSS system modularity/ integration optimization (M5) The Fellow will study the development of a fully integrated system based on the different research components in the project and PSS requirements, based on the CERN PSS structure.
