  2. Understand • We had to build a home-made nerf gun, using any materials • Modified nerf guns and simple blow guns were not allowed

  3. Explore • I looked online and found several different designs • The best one was using compressed air from a tank, and a bike pump to pump it

  4. Define • The easiest way to build it was going to make it completely out of pvc, with a 3 in. tank connected with a ball valve to a .5 in. barrel • A stem from a bike tire would be drilled into the tank to pump it up

  5. Ideate • This was my original design

  6. Refine • Because there was no reducer from 3 in to a half, I had to reduce it to 1.5 in., then to .5 in • I then treaded the ball valve into the reducer

  7. Solution • This is the final gun

  8. Test results
