  2. In the spring of 2011 the Springfield Age Friendly Committee decided that AF initiatives within the municipality should be acknowledged. The municipality publishes a newsletter called the Times four times a year and anyone that had developed an AF project was welcome to give the committee a call. A number of initiatives were reported and certificates acknowledging the improvements were presented in October 2011.
