  2. Who is a stranger? Anyone that your family does not know well Not all strangers are scary and look like villains in cartoons. Strangers can be pretty and not so pretty.

  3. Strangers that children can ask for help when they need it • Police officers • Fire fighters • Teachers • Principals Who are safe strangers?

  4. Stranger approaches your child in the park and ask for help finding their lost dog • Women in neighborhood your child has never met invites your child in for a snack • A stranger asks if your child needs a ride home from school • While your child is walking home from school, a car pulls over and asks your child for directions. Possible Scenarios

  5. Know where your children are at all times. • Point out safe places • Teach children to trust their instincts • Teach your children to be assertive • Encourage your children to play with others What else parents or teachers can do
