  3. Why Italy? • I’ve always wanted to see Pompeii. Pompeii was a city in Italy that was destroyed when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD. Italy is located in Southern Europe and shares borders with France, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia, and extends into the Mediterranean Sea

  4. Italian facts Italian facts! The Italian currency is the Euro. This is fairly new currency, up until 2002 Italy used Lira. In 2010 the Italian population was ; Pompeii is in the region of Campania, and the average daily temperature is 18.5c and the average night temperature is 7.1c. So its quite cold all year round. Italy is famous for its pizzas and pastas.

  5. Why England? It has always been a dream of mine to visit Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. When I have seen them on the television the people and sets all look so lifelike. England forms part of the United Kingdom, which is made up of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. England is an island and is surrounded by the Irish Sea, North Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean. The distance from Perth to London is 14481 km.

  6. Some facts aboutEngland. The currency used in England is called pounds and pence. As of the last census in England which was 2001, the population was 49,138,831 The prime minister of England is David Cameron.

  7. Why Japan? My family has hosted several Japanese students over the years and I would love to go to Japan to see them again. Japan is an island so has no bordering countries, it lies in the Pacific ocean northof Australiaand west of China.

  8. Facts on Japan Japan has been in the news recently due to a large earthquake and tsunami that hit on March 11 2011 and killed 14 340 people and 11 889 still missing. The currency used in Japan is the yen. Their flag, a red disc on a white background is said to be the sun. The name Japan, or Nippon, means "The origin of the sun" and is often translated as "The Land ofthe Rising Sun“ The population of Japan is 126,974,628. It is the 10th highest populated country in the world.
