17. 約翰福音John 1:4 4生命在他裡頭，這生命就是人的光。 4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 提摩太後書2Tim 1:10 10但如今藉著我們救主基督耶穌的顯現才表明出來了。他已經把死廢去，藉著福音，將不能壞的生命彰顯出來。 10but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 歌羅西書Colossians 3:4 4基督是我們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要與他一同顯現在榮耀裡。 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 2Cor 5:4 4我們在這帳棚裡歎息勞苦，並非願意脫下這個，乃是願意穿上那個，好叫這必死的被生命吞滅了。 4For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

Luke 12:13-20 13Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me." 14Jesus replied, "Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?" 15Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions." 16And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' 18"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry."' 20"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. 19. 路加福音12:21-28 21凡為自己積財，在　神面前卻不富足的，也是這樣。」 22耶穌又對門徒說：「所以我告訴你們：不要為生命憂慮吃甚麼，為身體憂慮穿甚麼； 23因為生命勝於飲食，身體勝於衣裳。 24你想，烏鴉也不種，也不收，又沒有倉，又沒有庫，　神尚且養活它。你們比飛鳥是何等的貴重呢！ 25你們哪一個能用思慮使壽數多加一刻呢（或作「使身量多加一肘呢」）？ 26這最小的事你們尚且不能作，為甚麼還憂慮其餘的事呢？ 27你想，百合花怎麼長起來？它也不勞苦，也不紡線。然而我告訴你們：就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的，還不如這花一朵呢！ 28你們這小信的人哪，野地裡的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐裡，　神還給它這樣的妝飾，何況你們呢！ Luke 12:21-28 21"This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God." 22Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? 26Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? 27"Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!

Youare a stumbling block tome; you do not have in mind the concernsof God, butmerely human concerns." 24Then Jesus saidtohisdisciples, "Whoeverwantsto be my disciple must denythemselves and takeuptheir cross and followme. 25For whoeverwantsto save theirlifewilllose it, butwhoeverlosestheirlife for mewillfind it. 26What goodwill it be for someonetogain the wholeworld, yetforfeittheir soul? Or whatcananyonegive in exchange for their soul?
