  2. Selection Process Outcome There are a number of way to access applications to record outcomes. The following is the most common method. Selection Process Outcome In the step ‘Selection Process Outcome’, the Hiring Manager/Hiring Manager Assistant moves the candidates from ‘Select Step Outcome’ to either: ‘Recommended Applicant’ OR ‘Eligibility List (Ranking)’ OR ‘Not Recommended (Unsuccessful)’ OR ‘Candidate Withdrawn’. To complete this step, the number in brackets against ‘Select Step Outcome’ must be ‘0’.   5. Selection Process Outcome You will then be provided with a grey pop-up box to complete the candidate you have chosen. Check the ‘New Status’ is correct. There are instructions at each Step/Status that you can access using this hyperlink. If you wish to see the details of the candidate you are currently moving through the Candidate Selection Process use this link. Comments are mandatory Reasons need to reflect a summary of how the selection criteria was addressed at interview. Select ‘Save and Close’ when you are finished. Do not check the ‘Send correspondence’ box. You will send correspondence to candidates at the end of the merit selection process through ‘More Actions’.   6. Selection Process Outcome You will then be returned to the ‘Selection Process Outcome’ screen. Select the candidate to be placed on the eligibility list.   7. Selection Process Outcome You will then be provided with a grey pop-up box to complete the candidate you have chosen. Check the ‘New Status’ is correct. Do not check the ‘Send correspondence’ box. You will send correspondence to candidates at the end of the merit selection process through ‘More Actions’. Comments are mandatory Reasons for suitability need to reflect a summary of how the selection criteria was addressed with a degree of difference between applicants and to include referee comments.   8. Selection Process Outcome To move applicants to the ‘Not Recommended (Unsuccessful)’ or ‘Candidate Withdrawn’ status you will need to use the ‘More Actions’ button. Select the candidate to be placed on the eligibility list. Click on the ‘More Actions button to reveal options. Then click on the ‘Change Step/Status’ option. You will then be presented with the same screen that is on page 6 of this module which you need to complete selecting the status of ‘Not Recommended (Unsuccessful)’ or ‘Candidate Withdrawn’.   9. Selection Process Outcome Once all candidates have been moved to another Status you are ready to progress to the next Step of the Merit Selection process. You have completed the ‘Selection Process Outcome’ step when the number against the ‘Select Step Outcome’ status is ‘0’. Check all candidates have been moved to another status in this step. Select the candidate who is the recommended applicant and click on the double blue arrows to move the recommended applicant to the step ‘Submit Selection Report to HRSO’.   10. Selection Process Outcome Module summary. A total of 9 candidates applied for this position 4 candidates have been culled and referees do not need to be contacted and remain at the Step; – ‘Review Applicants for Short Listing’ 2 candidates have been culled following contact with referees and remain at the Step; – ‘Short List Referee Check Outcome’ 1 candidate has been culled following the interviews and remain at the Step; – ‘Interview Outcome pre-referee check’ 1 candidate is on the eligibility list and remains at the Step; – ‘Selection Process Outcome’ 1 candidate is the Recommended Applicant and is at the Step: – ‘Submit Selection Report to HRSO’. Selection Process Outcome Should the panel recommendation be that there is no recommended candidates, you will not have access to the ‘Submit selection report to HRSO’ step and will need to provide advice to Staffing Services through the ‘Request Contribution’ process.   12. Selection Process Outcome Once you select ‘Request Contribution’ a grey text box will appear as below. Select this icon to find the HR Support Officer you wish to contact. This would usually be the officer listed as the ‘Recruiter Assistant’ in Section 2 of the requisition. The following dialogue box will open. You can scroll through to the officer you wish to contact (Assistant Recruiter) or use the Quick Filters at the bottom of the screen to locate the name of the Assistant Recruiter for this requisition. Once located then click on ‘Select’ on the right hand side of the screen next to the officer’s name. Enter comments which need to include the panel certification statement. Click on ‘Done’.
