  2. SR-138 Capacity Enhancements • 26-mile rural highway extending from SR-14 to SR-18 • Roadway widening from 2 to 4 lanes with turn pockets at critical intersections • Measure R: $200 million

  3. Status Phase I: • Six Segments: • Four constructed • Remaining two scheduled for advertisement: • September 2010 and January 2011

  4. Status (Cont.) Phase II: • Eight Segments: • Environmentally cleared • Begin design in Summer 2010

  5. Next Steps • Execute Funding Agreement with Caltrans to initiate design
