Methods • Dividing subjects randomly into 3 testing groups. • -Viewing Condition • 1.Eyes open (Control) • 2.Dominant eye open • 3.Dominant eye covered • Test subjects through 5 trials of est. length of the line under the effect of the Mueller-Lyer Illusion. • Record perceived length • Analyze

  7. Analyzed Data Null hypothesis H0: µ2=µ1 Alternate Hypothesis HA: µ2>µ1 α= 0.05 for 95%

  8. Analyzed Data Continued From Student’s Table of critical value for T-tests, for a DF of 7, P>0.20 which is larger than our critical value of 0.05. We therefore fail to reject the null hypothesis, meaning there is no significant difference between the control viewing condition and the dominant eye open viewing condition. The same was done for viewing condition 3

  9. Conclusion • Analyzed Results • Interpretation: • Based on the results of this designed experiment, we did not observe any significant differences in average perceived illusion size for any condition of ocular dominance.
