Literary Element – Point of view The perspective from which the story is told. • First person – A narrator who is a character in the story. • What would be an example? • Limited third-person point of view – The narrator stands outside the action and conveys the thoughts and feelings of a single character.

  5. The Hero’s Journey Directions: • Write down five memorable events on a journey that you have taken, or a journey that you have read about. Choose a symbol to write the events inside of. • Write down what you think are the five most memorable events that occur on Phoenix’s journey to the doctor.
