Learning Targets • I can share best practices related to the Common Core and NC Essential Standards with teachers throughout our district. • I can gain and share knowledge from other teachers about 21st century web tools. • I can develop clearer sequencing of Common Core and NC Essential Standards

  4. CCSS - Writing • Think-Ink-Link Activity • Think about a time you really felt like a writer and write about your experience. • When? (Flower Consensogram) • “Spiraling” through Writing • Why ever step counts!!! • Table Top Twitter • Writing throughout the school year

  5. Open-Ended Writing First 10: • Get into your “Amazing Race” teams • Share your 0, 1, 2 “examples” • Discuss “whys” and “changes” Next 5: • Back to your School teams • Discuss what was talked about in your “AR” groups Last 5: • Whole Group • Share Out any “Aahh!” or “Oh No!”

What you need? “Rainbow” sheet Map & Route Pen/Pencil Glue Stick Specific directions: Must follow the route (2 teams) Flight Delay – you may run into a delay if the judge has not finished the whole first round Group must stay together – No one can go ahead! Judges will count heads if needed All parts must be glued onto “Rainbow” sheet before reentering the Media Center
