NRNs in Korea • NRNA-NCC Korea was established in 20th May, 2006 under the theme of global NRNA movement • Currently around 22,000 Nepalis are living in Korea (foreign employment, study/research, business, marriage and others) • Currently NRNA-NCC Korea has around 800 registered members (i.e. valid members) • First NCC that initiated Buddha Nepal Campaign as a global campaign and the concept of establishing Nepal House

Nepal House: Vision and Objectives Shelter Education NEPAL HOUSE Exhibition Social Service Promotion of Nepal-Korea Relationship ▶Promotion of Nepali culture and heritage… traditional music and dance performance, film show ▶Learning about Nepal and Korea… classes regarding culture, art, history of Nepal and Korea ▶Providing information to Nepalis … legal informationand counseling service ▶Providing information to Koreans … information about tourism, business, migration ▶Educational activities … language and life-style of both countries ▶Community activities … community meetings, volunteering and other organizational activities ▶Hall rental service …exhibition, concert, organizational meetings, events , seminars, workshops

Collective Investment NRNs Collective Investment Seminar • A seminar regarding NRNs Collective Investment for Hydropower was organized on November 2012 in Seoul • Over 165 NRNs from Korea teamed up for hydropower investment collecting 7.5 million rupee • Still many NRNs from Korea are interested to invest in Nepal’s hydropower sector

  24. I. Interaction program with local nepali communities A Very First Interaction Program of NRNA NCC-Korea’s 3rd Executive Committee with Local Nepali Communities to Discuss the future agenda of NRNA NCC-Korea

  25. II. Participation in Soccer Tournament : NRNAs enhancing nepali sports in Korea An International Soccer Tournament Hosted by the Seoul Global Center : NRN-Korea team won the tournament defeating Turkmenistan 1-0 in the final
