  3. Jane Austen • Born in 1775 • Educated at Oxford by a relative and at Reading Ladies boarding school • Began writing in 1789 at age 19 • Wrote Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, Lady Susan • She died in 1817 at the age of 42 ironically never being married

  5. N is for Ninjas Pride and Prejudice and Zombies follows the plot of the original Austen novel but with a twist…Zombies have invaded Britain. Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters are trained in the deadly arts and have sworn to protect their town of Meryton until they are married. While most of the Bennet sisters are all preoccupied with finding a husband, Elizabeth is uninterested in love until Mr. Darcy comes along. Elizabeth loves to hate Mr. Darcy. The two of them are at each other’s throats ever minute they are together. You are left wondering if Elizabeth will feed Mr. Darcy to the zombies or just cut off his head herself.

  6. I <3 Zombies • The zombie mayhem blends seamlessly with Austen’s romance novel and made it more interesting for me. • Entertainment Weekly gave Pride and Prejudice and Zombies an A-. • Readers from chroniclebooks.com gave it an average of 4 out of 5 stars

  7. More brains please • I think that Seth Grahame-Smith achieved his goal in making Pride and Prejudice a fantastic and interesting read for a younger generation

  8. Review the Mayhem • Jane Austen: Original writer of Pride and Prejudice as well as several other classic novels and Seth Grahame-Smith: a TV/Film producer/writer who added my favorite thing in the world to a good book • A synopsis of the book- plot follows original but leaves you wondering how long it will take before Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth try to kill each other • How much I loved this book as well as how much other people loved it • How reading this book introduced me to other books like it to read

  9. The End
