  1. 4.3: Triangle Congruence by ASA and AAS Objectives: Students will be able to… Prove two triangles congruent using the ASA and AAS postulate and theorem.

  2. Angle-Side-Angle (ASA) Postulate If 2 and the included side of one triangle are to 2 and the included side of another triangle, then the 2 triangles are congruent 

  3. Are the two triangles congruent by the ASA postulate? Explain. If they are congruent, give a congruency statement. A B 1. 2. C E D J P C S A G

  4. Angle-Angle-Side (AAS) Theorem If 2 angles and a non-included side of one triangle are congruent to 2 angles and the corresponding non-included side of another, then the 2 triangles are congruent (YEAH!!!!)

  5. Are the 2 triangles congruent by AAS? If so, give a congruency statement.

  6. Name the 2 triangles that are congruent by the ASA postulate. (not drawn to scale)
