  4. Components of a CV • *CV = curriculum vitae • *Gives the reader a “snapshot” of who you are professionally. • * The form can vary a lot. Tailor the parts to your strengths. • * Let’s check out a few examples

  5. Making/modifying your CV today • If you already have a CV: • - Is it in Mongolian or English? Decide if it would be useful to translate it into the other language. • - What modifications can you make to make it “cleaner”? • - Upload it to the Dropbox. Show it to a colleague (e.g. me) in the workshop for feedback. • If you do not have a CV yet: • - Decide to make one in Mongolian or English. • - If you want, use a template in the SciCom folder OR go online and find one OR do your own thing.

  7. Web of Science Game • Practice those Web of Science Skills with a game. • (1) Decide if you will work alone or in a group • (2) Go to Web of Science • (3) Goal: Be the first person/group to answer the first set of questions and win a prize…

  8. Question #1 • Using Web of Science, can you find Albert Einstein’s earliestpublished article on Brownian motion? To win, you must be able to answer these three questions: (a) What ‘s the exact title? (b) What year was it published? (c) How many times has it been cited?

  9. Question #2 • What is the exact title of Margaret A. Tolbert’s most cited work?

  10. Question #3 • How many articles (written by anyone) have been written on “Brownian motion” and are in Web of Science?

  11. Question #4 • When was the most recent article that listed “Mongolia” as a keyword AND was published in the journal Science? • What is the title of that article?

  12. Question #5 • When was the most recent article that contained “Mongolia” in its title and was published in Nature? • What is the title of that article?
