  4. Advice From Renee Gork... Renee’s job is to help students get involved and get their foot in the door. It’s never too late or too early to get involved - whether you’re a senior or a freshman. It doesn’t matter what major you are. Even if you’re journalism, the experience you gain from the stations could help you when looking for a job or internship. Often jobs don’t look for people who can just write well, but they also look for multimedia journalists who can do a little bit of everything. EXPERIENCE IS KEY! To get involved in the spring, auditions to be on air will be in November. The earlier, the better. Once you know you’re schedule for the Spring, contact Renee about getting involved. At first, you may not get an on-air position, but there are opportunities for people to go down to the station to watch and learn. That way people can see your face and you can network. That way when there is an opportunity, the people in charge see that you’re serious and will know who you are. The stations also does work for Homecoming like Soulfest and Gator Growl. If anyone is interested in the many opportunities the stations offer, contact Rene Gork.
