  3. 2013 Project Prioritization List • Project Name/RankCL Funds Request • __1___ Upper Story Redevelopment Program $200,000.00 • Downtown Development Commission request to provide gap funding for at least four project locations to rehabilitate upper floors for residential or commercial use. • __2___ Historic District Sign Grant Program $20,000.00 • Program will provide 75% funding with 25% owner match to install perpendicular signs in the historic district. These signs are encouraged in the in-progress update of the Downtown Design and Development Plan.

  4. 2013 Project Prioritization List • Project Name/RankCL Funds Request • __3__ Neighborhoods Matter $75,000.00 • funding will focus on exterior property maintenance issues, particularly chipping and peeling paint, through the provision of a contractor to address the property maintenance issues within targeted neighborhoods • __4___ Friends Aware – Building Expansion and Renovation Project* $100,000.00 • complete the building expansion and renovation project that will provide an additional 10,266 square foot addition and renovate the existing 22,000 sq. foot facility in addition to major site modifications. • *Pending Approval by the State of Maryland of the City of Cumberland’s request to amend the existing designated Sustainable Communities boundaries

  5. 2013 Project Prioritization List • Project Name/RankCL Funds Request • __5___ CNHS. – Neighborhood Restoration Project $100,000.00 • The project aims to acquire and raze significantly blighted properties in targeted neighborhoods that serve as major gateways into and out of the City of Cumberland, as well as busy and growing business districts.

  6. Community Legacy Projects must be consistent with the Sustainable Communities Plan and must be located within the Sustainable Communities boundaries Resolution to be approved at July 16, 2013 Mayor and City Council Meeting. Applications are required to be submitted no later than noon August 15, 2013 Announcements are expected later in the year.
