  15. Na - I was present and did what was asked of me. I did not engage other students in a German conversation. I multi-tasked by using extra time I had in class for assignments I have in my other classes.

  16. Ja – I enjoyed class today and spoke as much German as possible. I asked Frau questions when I didn’t understand something and used all of my time for Deutsch.

  17. Doch – I made up phrases in German. I asked my classmates questions in German. I answered Frau’s questions and understood her jokes.
