  2. Problem/Solution • Problem: How can a person easily communicate with a data communication device without hooking a laptop to it? • Solution: Use a Palm! Using the IR port, with some custom hardware, the Palm PDA can do basic tasks and error checking easily!

  3. Requirements/Specifications • Ability to communicate with a data comm. device via the IR port of the Palm. • Easy to use GUI • Ethernet configuration • Ability to transfer files • Specifications • Target range – 1 meter • Beam Angle – 30 degrees Die, project, die!
