  3. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. John 1:6-8 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

  4. Our Vision “Create an open, inclusive and loving transition process – inspired by the Holy Spirit and bound firmly together in our faith and core values to Know, Grow and Go with Christ – so that the congregation and staff will feel confident and continue to be engaged in our mission as we build upon a solid foundation and history.”.

  8. Satisfaction vs. Energy Transformational Sector Transformational Churches are vital and healthy; well prepared to take on major projects and make significant impacts on their communities.

  9. Congregation’s Priorities The top 3 priorities for Lord of Life church were highly correlated and consistent across the campuses and age demographics!

  10. Theological “Leaning” vs Adaptability Flexibility is a very important trait for churches that want to grow and make an impact on others. Placement in this sector means that our culture as a congregation values faith as a journey and encourages discovery and dialogue.

  11. Key Aspects of LoL’sPerformance Our gas tanks are nearly full (after all these years)!

  12. Congregation Involvement Our congregation indicates that we have additional resources with which to benefit the church transition!

  13. Next Steps • Communicate these results throughout the congregation • Broadcasts of results details • Small group engagement • Mobilize and empower the Transition, Call, and Welcoming Committees • Continue our strategic planning including ministry priorities for 2014-2018 • Assemble the Call Package, solicit candidates, and prepare for interviews in 3Q

  14. What Can You Do? • Pray for the process and our members who have volunteered to lead through this period • Engage in the process and volunteer • Ask questions and offer suggestions! Lord of Life is Our church; let’s keep it strong and adapt it to meet the needs of our congregation and community!
