  3. Why have a CSR plan? • Improves staff engagement and morale • Strengthens corporate reputation and brand’s visibility • Builds confidence and goodwill with internal and external stakeholders • Builds strong community relationships

What has been done so far for the past 5 years? • Malaysia Office • Cash donations • Donation of old computers to school • China/ Hong Kong Office • Cash donations • Sponsored annual scholarship programs • Sponsored staff for annual charity hikes • WWF Corporate Membership Program • Indonesia Office • Construction of Humanitarian schools in Aceh and Nias (2005) • Australia Office • Recycling week + Green office • Cash donations, gift giving • Bangkok Office • Staff volunteerism: Tree planting in national park • Provided free engineering services for institutional and community projects • Cash/ gift donations • Work experience placements • Singapore Office • Eco-Office Project • Cash donations • Sponsored annual scholarship programs

  5. CSR Themes to be Explored • Group Staff to vote their favourite two of three programs.

  6. CSR Branding • Project to be named “MyHeart” (proposed by Australia office) • Logo to be decided via Group Staff voting

Proposed MeinhardtCSR Policy • Description of MyHeart program • To be aligned with company’s core value of Sustainability (Invest in People) • CSR Objectives • Promoting engagement between our staff and the community • Supporting local community groups and charities • Improving the environment in and around our operations • Promoting broader opportunities for workplace learning • Contributing to the development and education of young people • No involvement with any religious/ political organizations • Undertaking regular monitoring and providing reporting to staff and other stakeholders where appropriate

Measuring Success Since we are doing this as a Group effort for the first time, we should take this opportunity to set a baseline. • Number of man hours contributed • Amount contributed (in monetary terms) • Staff Satisfaction Level (via survey) • Measurables of individual projects to be decided by local project teams

  11. Going Forward • Confirmation of “MyHeart” as CSR brand name and logo • Drafting and formalizing CSR Policy • Promotion of CSR activities via Intranet, Group Website, Social Media, Newsletters, NewsFlashes channels • Introduction of CSR Annual Report/ Magazine
