  2. Introduction • Purpose • To give each family at BTRCS information on available scholarship opportunities • A reviewable resource throughout the course of the year for our families • Provide assistance with the applications

  3. EITC/OSTC • EITC= Educational Improvement Tax Credit program • OSTC= Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit • Similarities and Differences • How does BTRCS and families receive these scholarship dollars? • Income Requirements - $75,000 plus $15,000 per dependent

  4. List of Opportunities • www.newpa.org • Search “EITC” • At the bottom of page, a link to all scholarship organizations • State web site for everything EITC, can also search “OSTC” for same information

  5. BLOCS • BLOCS = Business Leaders Organized for Catholic Schools • Application • www.psas.org/blocs • BTRCS School Code = • Will be used for TAP, EITC, OSTC and other various grants • $22 fee

  6. The Bravo Foundation • www.thebravofoundation.org • Submit a request form from website • Foundation will send application • Can use BLOCS application if already filed • Request form will be available at the end of January – early February • $25 fee

  7. Children’s Scholarship Fund • www.csfphiladelphia.org • 4-year K-8 scholarship program • Must reside in Philadelphia • Must meet the income eligibility • Must be entering K-8 • Application is currently open, will close on March 1, 2014

  8. Kremer Foundation Scholarship • Application sent to BTRCS in the spring • Awaiting detailed information from Foundation • Need based/Income based scholarship • All requirements are set by Foundation
