Individual Strengths & Qualities for a Specific Role

  8. Team Strengths & Weaknesses Although players should be aware of their individual strengths & weaknesses, they should also be aware of how successful/unsuccessful they are as a team and be able to identify team strengths & weaknesses. When analysing a team the focus should mainly be on Technical aspects of the game. For example; • Linking passes • Movement up the court • Group Dynamics • Communication • Success of strategies e.g. Backline pass or Centre Pass. This will help the team with focus during training but more significantly the ability to devise strategies to suit team strengths & weaknesses.
