  4. Eating Habits/Diet • The Cannel Island Fox is an omnivore. • The Cannel Island Fox eats summer holly, deer, crickets, Colla cactus, mice, birds, night shade, and grasshoppers.

  5. Population • There were 6,000 Channel Island Foxes six years ago.. • The calculations have fallen from 1,500 to 100.

  6. Habitat/Range • The Cannel Island Fox can live in Santa Cruz Island , San Miguel Island , Santa Rose Island , and the Santa Catalina Island.

  7. Adaptations • The Cannel Island Fox has sharp teeth that help the fox to eat prey. • The Channel Island Fox has sharp claws that help the fox catch prey and helps them rip and tear prey. • The Channel Island Fox also has camouflage to help the fox hide from predators.
