  1. Eratosthenes Smart, clever, curious. I think he was very smart in of all his studies. In particular, he was good at map-making and geometry. I think he was good in geometry because he had a very accurate measurement of the Earth’s circumference. I think he was good at map-making because he made an accurate map of the eastern hemisphere. Eratosthenes was known to be a famous Greek mathematician, but he was also an astronomer, geographer, and historian. It is believed that he starved himself to death because he became blind and could not work.
