  6. Step 1: Contacting the Gym • Ring Gym - Ask for the Manager • Be happy, confident and focused • and say … • “I’m <name> I live locally and have my own Weight Control and Wellness business. I would like to schedule an appointment to outline an opportunity that is mutually beneficial to us both. It will take about 1 hour. What are the hours that you are at the Gym? Is 2PM tomorrow or 4PM on Wednesday better for you?” • Immediate Goal - Toregister this person onprogram

Step 2: The Appointment with the Gym Manager • Preparing the presentation • Medical facts - Larry’s presentation at BDS • Outline & Timeline of the Program - Gay’s presentation • Cost Justification - Colleen’s presentation • Your testimonial - or excepts from Nancy Morton video (would assume a VCR) or Brochures • Mutual benefit

Step 2: The Appointment with the Gym Manager - Continued Mutual Benefit • Common motivation = Expand business through NEW contacts • So … • Gym provides YOU with contact details (through form - person signs) of those interested in Program** • And … • YOU provide Gym with contact details (through form – person signs) of those interested in joining a Gym** ** Must have signed form due to privacy issues • YOU confirm arrangement back to Gym by e-mail

Step 3: Setting up the Information Seminar Planning • Look at your Diary … Give yourself 4 weeks to set-up and promote • Call local Community Health Centre or local Hall - there may be nominal cost ($50) • Pick a night that most people will be home (say Monday) and also say Sunday afternoon (start with two to see which works best) • Plan to start at Mon 7:30pm and Sun 2:30pm • Advise Gym of date of Information Seminar/s

Step 3: Setting up the Information Seminar Promotion • Friendly call to Gym Manager every 2 days to see “how it’s going” • Get forms from Gym - Invite those interested • Start on your contacts (no pre-judging) • Those living local - neighbours • Those at work who are not interested in “Networking” • Ask for referrals • Invite them to your Information Seminar/s

Step 3: Setting up the Information Seminar Registering Attendees • Confirm all attendees upon registration by e-mail (fax or post) • Include ... • Credentials on the Healthpointe Program and you • Agenda • Checklist - Ask them to complete & return • Financial Justification Template - Ask them to complete and return • Send “Reminder” by e-mail (fax or post) 1 week before Seminar

Ensure you have contact details - you’ll want to contact them
