  14. During much of the 1930s, states from Texas to the Dakotas suffered a severe drought. Top soil was blown away by high winds. This area of the Great Plains became known as the Dust Bowl Farmers Face ProblemsAs if overproduction during the 20’s hadn’t hurt farmers enough….
