Thirty Eight APEC Transportation Working Group Meeting, Bali, Indonesia 1 – 5 July 2013 Amendment/Revision on Existing Regulations • Periodical Review : Twice a year (1st half & 2nd half), • 1st half of 2012 -- 2012/10/12, 2012/11/07, 2012/11/29 and 2013/03/08 • 2nd half of 2012 – compilation was preparedto be discussed in 2nd half of 2013 • Review on corresponding ECE’s amendment/revision for existing regulation; • the Traditional Provision is taken into consideration, as appropriate, to allow necessary lead time • ECE-related Part of Technical Regulations Discussed in 1st half of 2012 (1/2)

Objective: To enhance the vehicle safety and accessibility vehicles for disabled passengers to get on, get off and ride in wheelchair on the road. 13

Objective: To provide supplementary illumination to the side of the vehicle to assist during slow manoeuvres . 14

Objective: Sounds designed to alert pedestrians to the presence of electric drive vehicles such as hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and all-electric vehicles (EVs) travelling at low speeds.
